Craft Fayre Saturday 3rd December

Little Lantern are pleased to announce that entry will now be free to the craft fayre, with proceeds from the afternoon tea going to support the African Oyster Trust and Cancer Research UK. It would be great to have the support of as many people as possible - hope to see you there on the day! 

Vintage Tea Party and Craft Fayre

In December, Little Lantern will be showing a range of items for sale at the Balsall Common Tennis Club, Meeting House Lane, Balsall Common on Saturday 3rd December. Tickets are £5 with half of all proceeds going to charity. Please email hello@littlelantern.co.uk for tickets and more information

Work in Progress

Yet another work in progress... this time from a charity shop in Coventry and I think it will be worth the fact that myself and a lovely friend had to carry it across the town centre to get back to the car - with no offer of help! Still, once it is finished I will be very happy...photographs to follow soon.

New Find

Another find ... this time from an auction house. Luckily it doesn't seem to have too much damage to the wood, and all the castors are in working order. I will treat the wood and perhaps change the colour. I can seem to decide on whether to recover it with a modern fabric or find a vintage print that would suit a children's room (something like that anyway). Eventually I will make a decision, but for now, I am on a fabric hunt! 

New Find

This is my latest find, a balloon back chair. I have also come across some lovely tartan Laura Ashley fabric in red and muted gold tones. I cannot wait to get started on this project, lots of work to be done, including correction to the woodwork and complete re-stain and varnish - then the fun begins with the upholstery ... watch this space!
